Our fifteen year old dog Flora was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis two years ago and was sent home with instructions for us on how to care for her in her imminent demise. She had open wounds on her swollen paws and dry flakey skin. She was listless. We started her on a raw food diet and she had some immediate improvement. We gave her fish oil and joint formulas and more. When we heard that dogs on fish oil might get depleted of vitamin E we started with a capsule of 200 IU punctured with a push pin and squeezed onto her food. Within a couple of weeks all her open wounds closed up and her flakey skin disappeared. She still walks with difficulty with her swollen paws but the suppurating wounds are gone! The nice thing about animals is they have no preconceptions about what will or won't work for them.
